We saw Health Care slashing in North Carolina and we are seeing it practically everywhere...

Franciscan Skemp Healthcare officials announced today that they have eliminated jobs and reduced hours for some employees due to fewer patients seeking medical care.

Ron Paczkowski, Franciscan Skemp executive vice president, said more than two-thirds of the reductions came from voluntary actions by staff members and eliminating unfilled positions.

He said 25 employees were "involuntarily let go" as part of a plan to cut 95 positions in the health care system. Thirty other employees voluntarily left their jobs or reduced hours, he said.

Forty-five positions had not been filled as they became open this year, Paczkowski said. The reductions were part of a plan based on patient numbers budgeted for 2009, he said.

Health Care employs over 10% of the population....up until recently it was immune from the down slashing is picking up across the nation.

New Hampshire Hospital Closes Brain Injury Unit?

None of this is hard to see.....when a nation borrows over $25 Trillion in a few years....spends like drunken sailors......and the banks cut off credit.....pretty much everything starts shutting down.  Especially government when few are paying taxes.

City of Lewiston - 9

Chelan County - 50 More Layoffs Possible

City of Richmond - 6

Update: Grey Harbor County - 31 Layoffs "Worst Case"

City of Kingston - 28 Layoffs and Tax increase 9%

Sorta strange....we bail out the bankers and they cut off the citizens.  Until we restructure debt to a level sustainable to current lower revenues.....our nation will continue shutting down.

We need to dump the Dollar as a currency before it dumps us.

I've said back in 2008 that we are basically on a 1 way track to having to "forgive" everyone of their debts....and building a new currency off of something tangible rather than just paper.

I am in favor of building a new currency to replace the Dollar that is based on "OIL,"  not GOLD or SILVER or PLATINUM... ...OIL....

America has the Strategic Oil Reserves which contain tons and tons of Oil.... America can at anytime gather up more oil and store it in..... There's tons of oil still remaining untapped....

We could be drilling in Anwar...Drilling offshore....this year created over 200 discoveries around the world of new Oil sites or Oil Wells...  The prospect of OIL is UP UP UP UP..... So a currency based off of OIL just makes sense to me.
