Housing Bubble: It Weren't Just for the Coasts
Think the housing bubble only happened in places where they "ain't making more land?"
How about the bad-mortgage and construction loan bank meltdowns in Oskaloosa, Iowa? I've been through Oskaloosa, and believe me, around there, there's nothing but land. Apparently, it takes more than that to make stupid prices pay off, even with the government pumping farm subsidies into Iowa like a Manchester junkie pushing heroin.
