Bespoken has a piece about the buyout where JP has disclosed buying 11 million Bear Stearn shares for $12.24/share.  It looks like they plan to continue buying until they get 49.5%.

they are buying bear with the money that i'm about to send uncle sam in the coming week.

my tin-foil hat meter in regards to banks is at an all-time high right now.  I'm seriously about to go survivalist over here.
