How many identities does Deej have???

May 21, 2009 – Comments (22)

I can understand why may of you are upset with is by helps stimulate creativity....which in turn helps Alstry.....and the better Alstry is.....the better information you get......and after all.....would you rather Alstry give you the right information through socratic filtering.....or would you prefer Alstry be civil and serving Kool Aid.

Speaking of many identies does deej have.....everytime I am looking around....come identity comes up with the sign off being Deej.....and the identity is an active player as well.

At least with Alstry...what you see is what you get......and when Alstry created a new identity when he was suspended earlier....he made sure you it was him by identifying the new character PositiveAlstry.

Now MotleyFool has blocked the PositiveAlstry identity.....and I can understand that if it is a violation of the rules of having more than one identity......and even though Alstry made sure to never make it an active playing identity.

But deej......the guy must have at least dozen different active identities as he now can't even track which guy he is signed into before commenting.

I really like deej....I sorta think of him as Alstry's little padawan........but come on fair is fair....and in this world filled with lies, half truths, and misleading headlines........shouldn't a  consistent implementation of the rules apply to all members of the community.

If it is one identity...let it be one......if it is more than one.....that is fine......we are a one member should be above any other just as our Constitution directs.....regardless what you think of Alstry.....Alstry is no better than any of you.......and niether should anyone else.

Alstry may not be civil all the time....but he is fair.....and very often right......Alstry will take fairness and integrity over civility anytime.........but certain constraints must be applied to civility or all hell breaks loose.....and no one does it better than CAPs....except when they go a little overboard with Alstry.

So which is it community....should we be allowed to have mulitiple active identies or just one???

Alstry man, in my experience when you're getting suspicious of other people's potential alternate screen names, it's time to take a break.

You've become the Fool's equivalent of the Garfield comic.  It may have been funny a long time ago, but now it's just a boring rehash of the same three things, day after day.

I believe that you have the best of intentions with your postings. But refering to yourself in the third person kills a lot of the impact of your blogs. Seinfeld had an episode about it.

I swore to myself that I'd never respond to you again Alsty.  But since my name was in the headline of your latest work I will allow myself to get sucked in one last time.

I am having a hard time understanding why you feel the need to constantly attack me.  Because I had the audacity to challenge some of the most extremely bearish predictions that I have seen out there?  There's nothing wrong with a civil debate on a subject.  Civil debates are what make sites like CAPS great.  One can learn a lot from them.

I am here donating my time for free to try to help myself and others learn about investing in a civil manner, not some sort of Yahoo! like flame-fest.  Why do you insist on attacking others so often?  While I don't always agree with you, some of your posts contain great information.  The problem is that you are always attacking others who don't completely agree with you.

Do I have multiple accounts?  Sure.  I've said so multiple times over the past several months.  Lots of people do, like "positive" this or "negative" that etc...  I play around with different portfolios like my uber bull portfolio megank12 or my dollar is doomed portfolio manntetra.  I don't have a dozen of them floating around out there.  How in the heck would one even manage that many?  Perhaps I should label them TMFDeejMegaBull or TMFDeejDollarDoomed to make them clearer.

I'll close the others if I am supposed to, but having different portfolios and trying out different investment strategies is fun.  I might very well create more of them to try out different theories.

I only write under the TMFDeej account and that is my main portfolio that I put all of my real investment ideas in.  Part of what makes me me is I am a call 'em like I see 'em, what you see is what you get sort of person.

For the life of me I cannot understand why you are so obsessed with me.  You must mention me or my family in a post almost every single day.  I never, ever talk about you specifically and have only once or twice even debated the merits of your bearish calls.

Name calling and non-investment related posts have no place in a respectable community like CAPS.

I'm just here trying to learn and have fun.  Please stop trying to take the fun part out of it.  You're literally sucking the joy out of something that I like doing.  The last time you launched a series of attacks against me I literally got so annoyed that I had to take a few days off from blogging here.  It's not about winning or losing some illusional battle with you.  Blogging is not worth it if I'm not enjoying it.  This isn't some sort of cry for attention so one or two people say "Oh please don't go" like people have done in the past.  I'll still be around, I just need a break.  Good grief.

Feel free to post some horrible garbage about me, my underwear, my balls, or my family now.  I'm used to it.

When did I call you names or attack you personally?

I may question your comepetence on subject matter or whether another might view you as incompetent....but I have never attacked you personally.

On the personal side, I have questioned whether motleyanimal is really the person reflected in the picture.....but that sorta speaks for itself when you look at the picture.

As far as commenting on you, I have gone out of my way a number to times to compliment your work....but for some reason you always seem to omit that in your comments about me and my so called attacks upon you.

I have no problem when you disgree with my projections....from my perspective it is simply a byproduct of your inexperience....but what Alstry does find amusing, is when I question your take it as a personal attack.

You seem to think it is ok to question my logic but when I question characterize it is a personal attack which occasionally causes my suspension.

That is fine because once the air is cleared, Motely is quick to see things clearly and acts is why I hold some of its members in such high regard.

I love your work....and you work your ass off......keep it up....but don't wear your underwear so creates discomfort and might cause you to miss things that you would otherwise see.

I have no problem with you personally.....we are all here trying ot help each other.....and if one of us can actually get it right.....we will all benefit.

In law school you are taught through socratic discourse, you can often navigate through the labrinyth weaving dececption and facts....and let me tell you my friend there is a lot of deception going on right now......and very little of it is coming from Alstry.

Think about that as you seem to take everything so personally.

Keep up the great work....I know I love reading it......

Do you think CAPS should reinstate PositiveAlstry????

One more have to admit....have the fun is trying to challenge Big Al............and we are not talking about Alan Greenspan.

If you think about it....the only time I jab back is when you make such a guess is you really like it.......

come on be honest....or why else would you try to spar with someone you know is twice your size.....if you didn't like the challenge.

That is a big part of the fun about having Alstry on get a shot at the champ and we all get to learn and benefit in the process.....and no one really gets hurt in the end.

What could be better in furthering the goal of investors helping investors??????????????????????????????????

I am ready to play AGAIN whenever you choose....because in the end we all know that it is YOUR choide to enter the ring....regardless how dramatic you like to make it.

Actually, I'm bored at work. We're pretty slow today. Like I said, I was making a joke.

I don't care if you speak in the third person.

I mean, I wouldn't even mind if you spoke in the SECOND person. It would be pretty confusing, though.
