How the "experts" picks really performed

Today is the annual Ira Sohn stock conference where famous investors divulge some of their best ideas to others who have donated to this charity.  I always like hearing the ideas that come out of the conference, but it's difficult to keep track of how the picks actually do.  Well, someone has tracked the results of the 2011 picks for us.  Here's an interesting article on the subject.  Not surprisingly, to me at least, some of my favorites like Bill Ackmann, Joel Greenblatt, David Einhorn, and Steve Eisman all did reasonably well.  Some others, such as some dude from Sabertooth Capital did downright horrible.  From the looks of the picks, I am not surprised to see that Sabertooth Capital is now in liquidation.
