How to create a "financial health day" at work

A few weeks ago, a group of Fools organized a "financial health day" here at Motley Fool HQ. The three main ingredients:

1. Experts taught classes about various aspects of financial planning.

2. Even more experts were on hand to answer questions.

3. Employees were encouraged to use company time to take care of personal business.

It was a grand success. Even if your boss wouldn't allow such a thing, you can take off a day and have your very own "financial heatlth day."

To learn more about what we did, and to download a free report on how to create one yourself, read the first paragraph of my most recent article on GetRichSlowly.org.

Attention, Fools! Looking for a trustworthy financial planner? The Garrett Planning Network is offering a limited-time 10% discount for new Motley Fool clients. Just click this link, search your state, and look for the Motley Fool icon to identify participating advisors.

Funny, whenever my company tries this sort of thing its usually put on by some HACK representing a front company for Goldman Sachs (seriously, I did my research on on the most recent one)...

I sit there and listen to their sales pitch and have to bite my tongue so much I can barely finish my brown bag lunch.

I even remember one in SoCal when I was out there back in the early 2000s where the topic was how to buy a house, and the giving the seminar admitted he'd left the area to move into a property his parents owned.

Anyway some of us could get a TMF HQ day pass?
