While I still own a few shares, your humble servant is starting to think about offing HPQ en toto.

#1) Tis the twilght of the CPU as we know it.   Too bad 'cause I'm not tech saavy.

#2) How many years do you wish to wait for Meg, who has no real experience in this sector going in, to turn the company, if even possible, around?

#3) Printers?  Did someone say printers? Many years ago, when the computer/computer printer world was young and competition was fierce between a few companies. Now there are many companies at many price levels and HPQ has lost its doninance.

What I don't like is that printer cartridges are smaller and the combo boxes no longer include the color black. This has nothing to do with HPQ at all per se'.

If it means anything I just had dinner with a bunch of hedgies and the one short position no one voiced any qualms with was HPQ.

The PC market has only been declining saliently since 2nd half 2012.  So there's a lot of downside to go - plus with HP being a "leader" in many related business categories the scene is set for disruption.  Dell I think would be an equally compelling short if not for Icahn/Dell/Blackstone drama.

Err in the name of disclosure I am looking to buy speculative puts on it in my PA.  I treat it as a lottery stub.
