I bet you UltraLong didn't know this...

March 23, 2010 – Comments (9) | RELATED TICKERS: UL , TEN , MTOR

Not in a million years would UltraLong think that portfolio of my recommendations I made on 10/6/09  would be up 32% after only 5 short moths. No way. Just noooo way. I know UL too well...

When he last updated this portfolio for me (I was on a medical leave) in comment# 6 from this post, the return of this same portfolio of my 5 picks was minus 4 %.

Today,

TEN is up 79.8% since my initial recommendation,

ARM is up 79.1%,

SAH is up 18.9%,

SEH is up 6.7%, and

PNX is down 24% (p.s. At one point PNX was best performing stock from this portfolio: up 34%)

The whole portfolio is up 32% if same amount invested in each stock. Even with a dog like PNX.

Who would think? I bet you UL didn't...

p.s.1   UL, sorry for shameless use of your name to get attention to my posts... :)

Those garbage companies have no business rallying and I do still fully expect your score to come crashing down. I'm taking steps to position myself for another 10% swoon lower so ETF's beware, i'll be hunting you down to short you!

And look at that...apparently I have my own shameless name usage via other users...hoorah!

Yea but for whatever reason this name drop didn't garner as many recs as Alstry or GMX.  Maybe you need to be hated for that to happen.

I think more people would be attracted to your posts if you provided rational/etc. for your picks. We all know you think _____(fill in the blank) is hot. But so what? Why?

I'm not trying to be rude, just a friendly suggestion.

Option1307,

Don't go there... we tried that with Dragon a bunch of times months ago... he doesn't know why he picks what he picks.. he just "does." I can sum up his picks to look for breakout technicals with higher than normal volume, buy and pray to god the move continues. It doesn't matter if they make money or are headed to bankruptcy..he's a momentum player. I hope that answers his question for you =)

Ha, ya I know that's what his style is. I was just giving him a chance to add anything else... I've got no prblem with momentum players, not my style, but to each their own. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Clarify momentum player, please.

Is it 2 weeks, 2 months, or 2 years?

I do agree I'm a momentum player, but 95% of my picks are also excellent long term picks.

Do you guys really think TEN is all done at $24, ARM at $14, LVS at $21, CENX at $15, FITB at $13, CNO at $6, ...

I know my picks are highly speculative, and as such get hammered during even the slightest corrections, but in my opinion, one has to have a stomach for that, in order to get to exceptional returns...

If you don't believe me my picks are good LT plays, stay tuned...

Btw. don't you find it funny BPOP is up 20% since I posted this on my Volume Story, less than 2 weeks ago...?

Good Luck Everybody!

Fair enough, I give you props for actually saying this.
