Don't confuse everything. What you are referring to is the core CPI. The CPI index does include food and energy costs.

I'm not looking to antagonize, I'm curious if you feel similarly about all government-based retirement benefits, or just executive-level benefits. And, if it's only executive-level compensation that bothers you...do you feel similarly about retirement packages for former CEOs and Board Chairmen of publicly traded companies?
