For anybody following my quest for personal sovereignty,  I am now also a citizen of Dominica and have a passport! I have a US passport and another passport to use for banking purposes in a country that I won't mention.

The only reason that I won't mention the other country is that part of gaining my personal sovereignty is erasing the paper trail. I'm not doing anything illegal, but I don't want to make it easy for anyone that thinks they can stamp on my rights to figure that out either.

I'm pretty sure I have my residence figured out. Actually it's 2 residences and I'll probably move seasonally. The big problem is that I'll live on a boat on the ocean at one residence, but it will need to be moved to an inland lake at another. The lake is not far from the ocean, but given the size of the boat and the small winding roads leading to the lake, nobody seems to be able to give me a straight answer on whether it can be moved and how much it will cost me to move it yet.

I'm still working on better passport options as well, but what I have already is good enough to  execute the plan if this country goes down the tubes.

I know it's not much of an update, but it's all I have at the moment. A lot has been accomplished, but not a lot that I can share.

If everything works out the way that I hope it does, I'll be free from most government influence.

Good to hear about your progress. Seems like a smart idea:Having a backup plan that is.

Seems like a good solution to have a house-boat type thing for you. That way, when you move seasonally you still have your house and only have to worry about one residence.

Have you talked to your family about what life will be like for them? I think you mentioned you had kids too.

Thanks for the support guys!

Starfirenv  I'm working on it. I've got a very nice lady from India typing it up for me. I just talk into a tape recorder.

The immedate family is good, the extended family doesn't yet understand the problem.  I'm working on them too though!

topsecret09 I actually bought them already! The financials looked good and a phosphate miner that close to China can't fail. The best thing a phosphate company can say to it's investors is... "We have a big pile of crap!" It's a speculative play, but a very cheap one.

I know what your second country is: Canada.

Canada is one of the best countries right now. After that comes Australia and New Zealand.

If you don't like to pay taxes Domican, Mexico, Guam, Bahamas, Thailand, Monacco are good places to be.

Mexico is probably the easiest place to live if you saved up some money. Monacco is the best place if you saved up a lot of money, they have no taxes on anything.

But hey  there is only so many options. It's a small world.
