I Love CAPS, But There Seem to Be Some Bugs

September 17, 2008 – Comments (2)

First, I ended LEH today since the 7-day waiting period (sounds like I'm buying a gun) ended this morning.  The pick ended, but hours later, I still have 1 pending pick, preventing me from picking another stock.  No biggie, but something similar happened last week, too.

Second, all day long, the S&P change reported today seemed low to me.  Even now it says it's -2.14%, but in reality, it's -4.71%.  That affects everyone's score.

Anyway, I just wanted to call this to everyone's attention.  Hopefully the bugs are worked out ASAP, especially that second one.

CAPS uses the SPY as a proxy for the S&P500 and it doesn't always track exactly.

But that dropped 4.5% today so it's out of whack either way.

We're correctly showing the SPY at -4.5%, and that's being used for everyone's scores.  Looking into why the S&P value stopped updating however.
