I refuse to blog today...

November 04, 2010 – Comments (7) | RELATED TICKERS: BE , GOOD

Yes, I really do.

Posting something bullish today (and as you know, I only post ultra-bullish stuff), would be like saying "I don't think we should go to the beach today" right after you heard on the news Tsunami has hit the island next to yours.

So today, no blogging for me.

Good Luck Everybody!

Okay, then I post something bullish. My "fund" (see this post) is in the green by around 40% (too lazy to enter the more recent trades into my spreadsheet (where is my secretary?)) for the period starting at "inception" (around March 8, 2010) and ending at the close of U.S. trading on November 4. And (here comes the bullish part) I think I might manage to end 2011 more than 50% in the green with, as usual, almost exclusively equity long positions.

The best thing about this rally continuation is that, thanks to my EMC call options/warrants, I have "outperformed" my fund with my portfolio over that period (see this post).

Excellent job, Porte. Very impressive.

I'm very happy for you and wish you best of luck in the future.

The closest I can come to your performance is maybe this portfolio here:

Started in July of 2010, 38 stocks total, right ow only 5 in red (not vs. S&P, but vs. entry price) with 2 of those 5 being almost at the break-even. 2 stocks from this portfolio have already doubled + 4 more with 50+% retruns.

My goal for this portfolio is to reach 100% accuracy (not just for a day or a week, but a year or so) without closing any picks or entering any new ones. Kind of trying to match real life buy-and-hold for 2-3 yars.

The average return for this portfolio is 30.1% so far, which I know is nothing comparing to your 40%, but by the time you pay your secretary (I don't have that cost as I'm not actively trading), I'd say we are pretty close...   :)

I am afraid my "secretary" is as virtual as my "fund" currently. I need one though ...
