Yes that is what I want. If they could do a referendum in California to get rid of the governor is there any way in god's green earth we could do that with this President? Is there any legal way. Just a thought. Oh well I can dream. Now for another thought. What if we did let them very quickly let them spend us into oblivion. I wonder what the plan would be if we just let them have enough rope to ha   ng  themselves as the old 1800 cowboy saying goes. Do it in less of a year?  That surly cause DE GLOBALIZATION.  Yep I do believe that we need to DE GLOBALIZE and go back to real trading with other Country's.   I wonder what stocks I should pick then. Any Ideas Fool's on what stocks to pick if we did get a re do and RON PAUL became president? Not Sara Palin

I can see a tea party where we have and old fashion with a twist. Here is how it goes. Stop spending again. Well except books. You can read them and then give them as a gift. Sock away as much as you can and put off what you can and still have fun. Pay cash. Do not let the bank have the transaction fee. Deprive them of money. Get a credit card from a credit union instead of the bank. If you are ever in San Antonio then come in and see me. Your friendly neighborhood bookseller. Well what does this have to do with stocks you ask. I need ideas on what won't go under and survive. Oh the lack of sleep is catching up with me fools sorry.

The problem with the tea party is that large numbers within their ranks are really authoritarians in diguise.  They claim to be libertarians, but supported Bushs big government spending, big business, and big brother watching over them through warrantless wiretapping and wholesale phone records searches and a whole host of big brother tactics that trample the Constitution.  None of which are libertarian in the least.

Dich Cheney Vs. Ron Paul is the conservative quintessential Authoritarian Vs. Libertarian.  But even Ron Paul favors freeing big business to interfere with your liberty.

I think folks tried that in 2000...and again in 2004. It failed.

To jdlech - I must disagree with you on one thing...Ron Paul most definitely does not favor "freeing big business to interfere with your liberty."  That is completely the opposite of his intention and his efforts.  The contemporary "big business" you refer to and rightly complain about has been EMPOWERED AND SUSTAINED BY big government.  Ron Paul's point is that power in a free market would and should be with the consumers at the bottom, not with government picking and choosing its corporate favorites through taxation, subsidy, licensing, regulation, grants, government contracts, etc. at the "top" and by employing the compulsion of the state.  Please do a bit more research.  Ron Paul stands with Jefferson and not with Hamilton.  Best wishes.

lquadland10, I love bookstores. Bookstore owners benefit humanity in many ways. Have a good weekend.
