Year after year, this well-run miner continues to execute beautifully on strategic growth and enhance shareholder value. Everything I see in the works portends a continuation of that trend.

I invite Fools to check my prior track record of calls on this stock as well. If memory serves, IAMGOLD was among my very first gold stock purchases back in 2005; along with Eldorado Gold, Buenaventura, and Bema Gold (purchased by Kinross for a huge gain). IAMGOLD has never left my portfolio, and the profits I have siphoned off have in turn funded positions in what I expect will be the next round of major outperformers. I have other stocks that are targeting the rapid multi-bagger growth, and those have a good shot of outperforming IAG and other past outperformers, but I still make room within my precious metals allocation for the slower-paced growth of reliable and proven performers ... particularly where dividends are established as a priority.
