Jim O'Neill deserves the "idiot of the day" title for making a prediction that China will overtake the US by 2027. He then further reinforces that title by talking nonsense about time zones and the English language, but that really is an extra: his first prediction is already sufficient.

Well first they have to get thier people enough disposable income to buy thier own stuff. There isn't much innovation in China still. They copy everything and just use the cheepest manufacturing practices they can to push it out the door.

When was the last time you heard of a Flagship product comming out of China?

They can't overtake America ever, because they don't have an independent economic science. Their economic blueprints are written in Harvard. These are exactly the same recipes, word by word, that have served Japan so well.
