It's quite simple really.

all you have to do...................

Drumroll please!

Just go ahead and join your local credit union, they treat you like actual people, and don't gouge you for every last cent.

My only motivation for posting this is to spread the word. If enough people shun the big banks in a slow and orderly retraction, that may be the way to dispose of too big to fail.

Of course in a few decades we will be lambasting the evil of those overbloated credit union bastards :)

Damn I was hoping that the answer to the headline would not appear in the byline. O' well longer drum rolls are in order :)

Your having way to much fun. :~)

I love my credit union. The more funds you have in it, the more you own it.

Morning msftgev. I have used a credit union for over 15 years. Run into a small problem occasionally if I am doing something unusual such as a "collection activity", but they more than make up for that with rates and service attitude.

Have a nice Sunday.

Even if you are not pissed at the large banks, credit unions are a good deal. I have been member of one for about a decade and a half, and I can recommend it. Lower fees, fewer fees, great service, friendly people.

Credit unions have limitations on who can become a member. Try this link to locate the ones in your area, and perform a search. No doubt you are eligible to join at least one or two!

Teacherman,

sounds like a nice problem to have. I would say that if I were in that situation I would never have more then $100,000 at any one bank. (Yes the FDIC covers to $250,000, just a way to cover myself)
