Interview with Wang Chuanfu of BYD

CNN has a series of interviews with Wang Chuanfu of BYD.

This three part video is the most extensive I have seen that covers BYD which I described in an article earlier this week.  It is well worth taking the fifteen to twenty minutes to view the three part video and to learn why Berkshire’s Charlie Munger is so enthusiastic about this company and its founder.  Here is a quote from Munger in a recent interview with Fortune Magazine:

“This guy,” Munger tells Fortune, “is a combination of Thomas Edison and Jack Welch - something like Edison in solving technical problems, and something like Welch in getting done what he needs to do. I have never seen anything like it.”

After watching these videos explaining the incredible growth of BYD from a start up 13 years ago, I would agree with Munger’s assessment.
