Is BIP a MLP? How do you tell?

I'm guessing that BIP is an MLP since it has Limited Partner in its name - but how can you tell for sure. I tried reading descriptions on various investing websites and the company website and nothing directly states that they are an MLP.

I'm interested in investing in BIP, but I currently only have funds available in my Roth IRA and I remember reading that MLPs have tax disadvantages when held in Roth IRAs - so I want to make sure before I do any additional research into company financials / filings.

Thanks.

I had no idea BIP was an MLP.  It looks like a K1 will be involved for tax time.  Hopefully turbo tax deluxe can handle that crap.
