"It's almost Armageddon if the Japanese and Chinese don't buy our debt,” Robertson said in an interview. "I don't know where we could get the money. I think we've let ourselves get in a terrible situation and I think we ought to try and get out of it."

http://www.cnbc.com/id/33004753/

Since the Chinese started making pottery...they have only accumulated about $1.6 Trillion dollars of  total U.S. debt...of which about $800 Billion is treasuries....and that took a few thousand years.

China's total GDP is only $4 Trillion per year....and a big chunk of it comes from our consumption.

AMERICA IS NOW RUNNING A FEDERAL DEFICIT OF ABOUT $2 TRILLION PER YEAR AND GROWING.....CHINA AND JAPAN DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY LAYING AROUND TO FUND OUR DEFICIT.....GUESS WHAT THAT MEANS??????????????????????????????????

OH YEAH......WHAT ABOUT THE JAPANESE??????

Robertson said while he doesn’t think the Chinese will stop buying US bonds, the Japanese may eventually be forced to sell some of their long-term bonds.

“That's much worse than not buying,” he said. “The other thing is, they're buying almost exclusively short-term debt. And that's what we are offering, because we can't sell the long-term debt. And you know, the history has been that people who borrow short term really get burned.”

Caribbeanbusinesspr.com has learned that the administration of Gov. Luis Fortuño will be announcing the dismissal of some 25,000 government employees over the coming days.

Government Development Bank President Carlos García, who heads the administration’s Fiscal Stabilization and Reconstruction Board, is scheduled to give a press conference at 1 p.m. Friday where the second round of layoffs are expected to be announced.

A source said dismissal letters will be going out to these 25,000 or so employees with notice time running from 30 days to 60 days to 90 days depending on the position held.

Once again, Alstry will miss buying on the dip.

How tragic. He'll rant and he'll rave, and for a few days or even a few weeks, he'll feel justified while the heated market goes though a correction.

And then the market will rally again, and go to 11k in a few months. What will he do then? Oh, then he'll rant and he'll rave about how the Fed is manipulating the stock market.

Most importantly, Alstry will miss buying on the dip. Again.

Has anyone noticed many of the Alstrybaters have not even made one single CAPS pick.....I guess they are too busy Alstrybating......while Alstry remains in the TOP 1% of CAPS player after losing more points than 99.9% of CAPS players have even accumulated.

That is pretty amazing....even for Alstry.

ALSTRY, I usually just read the blogs and do not comment.  Since the past months I've been wondering do you have anything better to do then query Google, Bing, watching Beck or listening to Rush for negative article and linking it as ARMAGEDDON.  I am glad you are doing that because as those gullible enough to believe you sell low I am buying.  Since March I would say that I have made of great deal of money.  How about up $55K?  So keep trucking on buddy.

EXPECT MASSIVE CUTS TO ARCHITECTURE.....

Baltimore architecture firm Cochran, Stephenson & Donkervoet will close Oct. 2 after 62 years, a victim of a recession that has hit hard in the housing and health care sectors.

The firm, which at its peak employed more than 100 people in Baltimore and three other cities, has been reducing staff and office space for several months and currently employs 35 to 40 people in Baltimore and Dallas, with about two dozen remaining in Baltimore.

"This was not an easy decision for the stockholders," said Tom Spies, chairman. The company "did succumb to the country's current economic crisis, the disappearance of funding options for senior living developers and extreme caution in the health care sector," areas in which the firm specializes.
