Is It Time 2 Abolish Income Taxes?

May 22, 2010 – Comments (1)

The purpose behind income taxes is to fund government expenditures.....

The funds received were intended to create a moral and finanicial limitation on the expenditures of government.......otherwise, governments around the world would limitless power without any control over behavior.

With a rapidly growing defict over the past few years, our government is now spending over twice its tax receipts.....and the deficit is now expected to grow even more next year.

If you think about it, there is really no reason to collect income taxes any more when such taxes have little correlation or influence on the behavior of government....and going forward, such correlation will deminish further as tax receipts contract and expenditures rise.

Like the dinosaur, horse carriage, or tube TV, has income taxes become unnecessary in a period where government can borrow and spend as much as it wants without seemingly any limitation?

Once morals and rules breakdown in a society...the reason behind the rules become if government can simply borrow and give bankers, government workers, and unemployed as much money as it wants regardless of tax receipts.....why should citizens be paying taxes in the first place?

32 States Borrow $37.8 Billion Total to Make Unemployment Payments; CA Tops List at $6.9 Billion; Bill to Extend Benefits Until DEC in Congress

Why not borrow $120 billion and triple benefits to stimulate the economy....or a trillion....or two trillion?

When money is simply the product of a loan without regard of ability to pay back....why not loan everyone as much money as they want.....heck, we can give half the proceeds to government in lieu of taxes.
