DeveloperWorks currently has 8 million users and contains thousands of articles, according to IBM. An added incentive for IBM to acquire SourceForge.com would SourceForge's nine (9%) percent interest in Collabnet thus providing superior leverage to IBM to take out Collabnet in an effort to maximize its existing superior competitive advantages and market share in the burgeoning ALM space. Either way, Collabnet should also be in IBM's acquisition sites so SourceForge (LNUX) will be the beneficiary either way.
