Iran simply can not be allowed nuclear weapon capabilities.  This is not open to debate.  It simply can't be allowed.  The clock seems to be running.  While I prefer a diplomatic solution, it just doesn't seem to be working.

I have no worries about Iran controlling the Straits of Hormuz.  They simply can't against the amassed might that is facing them.  Maybe they can do some disrupting at best.  But a closure?  Nope. But I hope we don't let this issue go down to the wire.  Put the pressure on now and stop playing with "fire."

The US decided to let Iran get nukes a long time ago.  The only question remaining is if Israel will launch an attack with little to no support from the USA.

Do you make the same argument about Pakistan having nuclear capabilities? What about the United States? The United States is much more of a threat to use nuclear missiles than any other country.

The question is not if somebody has nuclear weapons, but rather if they are bat-shiite crazy enough to use them, lol.

Israel's nuclear weapon capacity has been well known to even the most casual observer for many years, but how many times did they say Iran should be wiped off the map?  How many times did the current leadership of Iran make the same statement about Israel?

Even North Korea has developed primitive nuclear weapons, but I don't worry about them much because I think they are pragmatic enough to understand that their use as an offensive weapon would be a huge mistake.

Far enough #3, but Iran has never used nuclear weapons in warfare, the United States have. Batslard is a subjective state of mind it seems.

Well only the US has and that was during WWII.  Personally I felt we should have first dropped it on a desolate island to show the Japanese the results.  But in the end it did take TWO dropped bombs and Stalin's blitz to finally force Hirohito to order the surrender.

But I am sorry, listen to Iran's President and he is just nanny noony bananas.  No way should he ever be allowed to put his finger on the trigger.

So I think we got a bit off topic.  This isn't about who used the first bomb.  It's about the potential for rogue states to use them in the future.  Iran fits the bill.  I'm very peaceful but have no illusions about why force is needed when no other course of action has produced the desired results.  We are at that point and cannot afford to wait any longer especially when our safety and that of our allies are at stake.
