What is the nature of the LIABILITY of the citizens for the debts of their elected officials?  We know if the elected officials go to war, so do the citizens and even may have to offer up their children.

As we realize that more and more nations are bankrupt, and we have left a mathematically unsustainable debt burden on the CHILDREN.....before a nation can go bankrupt, it will be legally obligated to tax its citizens to pay back the debt.....AFTER ALL IT IS THE CITIZENS THAT DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY BENEFITTED FROM THE DEBT.

And with the current debt burden floating around the globe...expect the tax to be almost everything everyone has.......unless nations decide to go to war as the alternative....

We are already at war,  a  war on many fronts,   war on drugs, war on poverty,  war  on  stupidity,  oh and there  seems to be some thousand plus year war   in  the middle  east that our  foolish leaders have  lead  us  astray   into  much bloodsheed.

 Yet we continue to stick  our necks out to be chopped at.  Why are we telling  Israel  to give up  their lands ?  why don't we just get the heck out of that  God  forsaken  dump  and take all our  money and whatever  we want back with us ?

The winners not the losers should  decide !

Oh looks like people aren't happy that we didn't all suffer come saturday.

A sea of  financial red,  but at least its not your sons and daughters blood,  doing stupid stuff  on behalf of some stupid leader.

Interesting LORDZ.  I never thought of the middle east thing as a thousand years war.

I rememeber the Cursades;

I'm pretty sure they ended a long time ago.

Still, you propose an interesting idea.
