It is pretty interesting if you think about it....

Our whole financial system is based on sequentially rising debt....if we are not borrowing our financial system is collapsing.....and for 70 years....we got to borrow more and more........and consume more and more.......

things have become so depraved that we are now we are trying to convince the elderly to take out reverse mortgages to throw some more money in the system....we are loaning money to otherwise insolvent public companies and municipalities......just to keep up the illusion of solvent pensions and city, county and state services.....

We ARE SO DESPERATE WE HAVE ACCEPTED TERMS EXTEND AND PRETEND......pretend????  really pretend??????

The sad part is only Wall Street and Washington get to pretend.....the rest of the nation must live within reality...........why do you think million have lost their jobs and kicked out of their homes...

when you bailout a few and screw the get situations like France....Greece and now England..........

Guess where is next?????

Anyone know why they call it black monday?????

And.... So what?

I accept that long-entrenched powers that I have little knowledge of and no influence over are running and have been running the USA and the world. The rich are getting richer, the middle-class are getting squeezed down, more and more nations are being subjected to debt and the powers behind the bond market.

So? As an individual what can I do?

1) Become a Cassandra like alstry and many others (some Tea Party people might fit in here).

2) Reject the system completely and become a homeless person.

3) Realize the system is fixed and eek what scraps I can from it to keep myself, my family, and whoever I feel charitable toward comfortable.

 4) Reject alstry's message.

3 and 4 are very close to the same. 4 blunders along in blissful ignorance, 3 blunders along while keeping the fix in mind.

The Motley Fool is a good place to learn how to scrounge table scraps from this fixed system.

Evil triumphs when the good do NOTHING.............

And if you think Motley Fools is a good place to learn from a "fixed" are sadly mistaken....however it is an excellent forum to bounce ideas off of others and watch the reaction of people from certain stimuli.....

It is interesting how many interpret my message......most get it dead wrong........but a few track clearly.......

It is not the end of the world....simply the end of a system that has existed for a number of generations......

But don't fret.....there will be a new system.....I promise

From the movie Lord of War.

Nicholas Cage: "It is said that evil flourishes when good people do nothing.  That should be shortened to Evil Flourishes".

Here is another great quote form the same movie.

"There is a gun on the planet for every ten people.  The problem? How to arm the other nine."
