Congrats to all CAPS players who are beating Cramer (currently about 500 of you, counting only those with 20 or more active picks).  Give me time, I'm heading that direction.

Interesting.  As you know, CAPS doesn't count a pick as beating the S&P 500 unless the win is greater than 5%. Perhaps that explains why our Track Player accuracy is about 20 percentage points lower.

Also, TrackJimCramer isn't limited to the normal 200 Active Pick restriction (how can you restrict Cramer?), so with over 1500 active picks, TrackJimCramer has a distinct advantage in CAPS.  If the TrackJimCramer average pick score was greater than 1% the rating would go much higher. ;)

I thought the 5% rule only applied to "ended" picks.  But that could still account for your difference.

Anyway, I would think that the more picks you make the more likely you would be to end up with a 50% accuracy rating (based on any % above the S&P counting as a plus) and that it would be harder to get a score above 60% with more picks than with fewer.

You are correct.  The 5% rule only applies to ended picks.  TrackJimCramer has 905 of these and most (about 2/3s) have a score below 5.
