We don't know who among our fools are Professional Market Analyst and who are doing it for fun/hobby/passion.

I myself is a Mech Engineer by Profession for 10+ yrs now.

Got interested in market/economics few yrs back and start to engage more and found my new passion. Right now thinking about switching my career to Market Analysis.

There may be more fools like me.

I want to take this blog posting as an initiative to open a forum for, where Professional Fools can offer opportunities to other fools who want to get into this profession.

I think CAPS is LinkedIn with only stock market focused people. Our scores are our resume.

Fool.com can even have a sublink to this, with prospective employers listed there and fools can interact to them

Any ideas to enhance further...

Hope there are like minded people or its just me...

And by the way iam interested to become a professional analyst, any offers...

I am in the same boat as you, to a certain extent.  I am a software engineer who became more and more interested in the market.  Lucky for me there was a way to combine software and market research.  In fact I started writing my own financial engineering platform over the course of a year or two before I burnt out.  I learned a lot about how to create a good investment research platform from the experience.  If anyone has any jobs in this area let me know.

If I don't end up working in this area I will most likely scrap a lot of what I did and start over.  I don't have any money to hire anyone, but if anyone wants to colaborate let me know.
