"IT WAS JUST over three months ago when Japan experienced its worst nuclear disaster ever and the Nikkei 225 stock index plunged the most since the 1987 crash. Not exactly good times."

[I'm not sure how many people here follow Japan as an investment (other than binve) but I still found it interesting, since I do.]

Am I crazy or did that article reccomend buying high and selling low?

I don't follow The Nikkei closely so do your own research (obviously) but my guess would be that this is a dead cat bounce and Japan has nowhere to go but sideways and downways. The nuclear crisis is no where near over, just less reported on than before. Will they close more nuclear power plants to be safe? Where will they get energy from? (maybe there's a good answer to these questions but again, I haven't bothered to research this so completely ignore me.)

There's definitely something to be said for investing in something when no one else thinks it's a good investment (think gold about 10 years ago).  That's one of the reasons I keep my eye on Japan looking for the right time to strike and hoping for the best.

Incidentally, I was looking at your profile... are you aware that outperform picks that are closed between +0.01 and +4.99 points don't count towards your accuracy?
