Jul 18, 2014 Benchmark Investing (BI) Selections
There is only one stock to review in my portfolio this week, but am again not making any adjustments to my portfolio.
This week’s candidate :
MS (Morgan Stanley) http://caps.fool.com/Ticker/MS.aspx– Both its near-term and long-term prospects remain bright. Its stock price has come a long way since the recession, but continues to have upside over the long-term. Both its topline and bottom-line continue to perform strongly, it is buying back stock, and it has finally raised its dividend. In fact it has doubled its dividend from 5 cents to 10 cents a quarter. I see no reason to sell or trim my holding at this time. Decision: Hold
Every week a fresh set of company specific financial data, stock prices, and economic information are evaluated. This information is analyzed using Kenneth Lee's stock selection process as described in “Trouncing the Dow". Individual stocks are considered based on their own historical benchmark valuation. This “rule based” approach has a proven track record and has yielded superior results in the past.
Each week a broad set of new stocks are considered to be bought, sold, or held. The results of these decisions are then shared publically here on this board.
