Jumping Off My Chair
The markets go "boo" and I jump. It seems like I've done a lot jumping off my chair in the past month or two at the rapid changes in the market.
First it was the descent of the US dollar versus Canadian. It seemed that a percent per day was being lost for a while there. It happened far to fast for the economy to absorb and there is no question that for every Canadian business that gains from it, one will be hurt.
Now I have to comment on the liquidity injections. Apparently there was a $37 billion injected this morning. That's the 4th enormous injection since the summer that I've heard about. It amounts to over $100 billion of new money created since the summer.
Going the Zimbabwe route to try and fix this isn't a good thing.
