Keynes Dying Words!

It's amazing that so few people have ever heard the last words of John Maynard Keynes.  If they did, their would not be a world of debt today, but a world far closer to the Austrian School of Economics.  According to the story, Keynes lay dying when he told his nurse he saw the light of truth, that his mind finally connected all the dots and he told her to tell the world these final words (which she never did, because she didn't know what he was talking about).

He said, with his last breath: "I'm was never an economist, rather an optimist."

Epiphony (Def.): a phony quote of a famous person's dying last words; a new mobile phone for making epithets.

Actually, he whispered this to his best friend Oscar Wilde,"Either that government spending goes or I do."

demonic,

You got the whispering sweet nothings into Oscar Wilde's ear right, but you got the message all wrong.

eldemonio, we've still got gov't spending and Keynes is gone, looks like Keynes would rather die than stop gov't spending, no?

He definitely didn't find it in a high school grammar book. From the looks of things he never opened one:
