2012  MLB  champions

 The  Detroit  Tigers....

Why ???

Because  we  are  tougher  here in Detroit than  those  in San Francisco.

Detroit  has  the triple crown winner

SF  has  the  cheating  Cabrera  who isn't even on it's play-off roster.

Det's  right handed bats  will  crush  the lefty pitching...

Verlander  will  do  his thing.

Let the best team win.

Sorry charlie Tigers have nothing but righthanded pitchers.  Giants have a ton of lefties.  Cardinals almost lucked out with no lefty starter, Tigers won't even get that close.

The breaks  did  not fall  Detroits way,   but   S F  catcher ~  LOL ~  at  that terminology  wasn't  about to block the plate ~ anyone who knows anything about  S F  is  that there is plenty of  catchers  there...

S F  got  lucky  and  got  the breaks.   Case in point they managed  to  tag  Fielder  out  at the plate  for the first out of  the game.  I  would  have loved  to see that guy  try to block the plate  and  try to catch the ball  with  him  chugging into home plate.   I  think we  all know  who would  have  survived and who  would have not  under  such  a scenario.

Doug  Fister pitched an inspiring game despite  taking a  line drive  straight  off  his head  early  into the game.   Most pitchers  would have  probably  not  pitched  another pitch after  getting a  line drive  estimated around  90 mph.

His opponent  got  the breaks  and pitched just as good if not better,  but  than  again  he  wasn't  hit in the head  during the second inning.

History  may be  on  the side of  one team, but  the series still needs to be  decided,  and  the next  three  games  are  going to be played  in  Detroit.  Hopefully.

From my  understanding  the  next  two SF  pitchers  are right handers  also  the  D H   rules  will  be  in  effect.

So I expect  the games  to be  exciting  and  more  prone  to favour  the  home team.

Maybe  just  maybe  the  tigers  need  to  accidentally  hit  someone with a  pitch  or  two  to  make up  for  them hiting  Fielder  in  the second  game  ~   no  more  small ball.

Tiger  bats  need to light  up  and  catch fire with the long home run  game  and  show the world  they are giant  slayers.

Well, so much for your Giant slayers. Swept and Fistered, at home.  I was kinda hoping they would somehow win at least one.  Any more predictions?  The Lions?

"We are tougher here in Detroit...".   Ummm, OK.  My question is why on Earth would anybody choose to live in friggin' Detroit?

Go 9ers!
