I was perusing my annual report from GE today, and one stat stood out to me-

$21,428,765 pr/yr

That's Jeffrey R, Immelt total compensation for the year.

Now if your like me as a shareholder I view myself as an employer and the CEO and board of directors as employees. So I decided to break down Jeffs salary based on a forty hour work week (not factoring in any O.T)

I'm paying Jeff $10,302.29 pr/hr.

Now I think it's safe to say that the average employee spends at least 15 minutes a day in the bathroom thats $2,575.57 a day. I know what your thinking dear reader-

Geez Harry it would be cheaper to just buy him a new suit every time. I know that was my first thought, seriously the Mens Warehouse is always advertising buy one suit get one free. But then I went through the logistics of it. The time spent changing into a new suit would not be cost effective, I'm sure there would be lot's of preening and postureing in front of the mirror involved.

So here is my solution-

Over time this will be greatly beneficial to the shareholders (employers) With the time saved Jeff can punch out fifteen minutes early saving us money

Does anyone really need or deserve $10,000 an hour?

 Betapeg- NO, no they don't.

I don't know how Jeff can sleep at night while knowing that under his watch a hundred year old company with great innovations came very close to the brink of nonexistence.

Oh wait.. thats right he sleeps on a pile of money.

Hey HarryCary,

I own GE in real life. Its a proxy for a SP500 index fund and pays a better div. Plus im convinced Jeff is passing gold nuggets in the first stall at $2600 a day.

P.S. I finally got around to pitching V.

Hi RallyCry,

I think GE's going to be a solid investment going forward. I just needed some revenge for Jeff jerking me around in the e-mails. This blog gives me closure. If he's dropping golden nuggets we should put it to shareholder vote that his diet consists of nothing but White Castle : )

I'll check out your pitch on V. That by far is my favorite stock and I'm confident my faith will be handsomely rewarded over time.

Hey Babo, luckily I kept this on my following tab. The answer to your question is end of September see who is ranked higher. He's killing me right now, so I need to step up.

Waiting for that elusive monster call.

Just wanted to say this makes me smile every time I log into Caps-

I know it's important. I do. I honestly do. But we're talking about practice, man. What are we talking about? Practice? We're talking about practice, man. We're talking about practice. We're talking about practice. We ain't talking about the game. We're talking about practice...
