Letter to one of my Senators regarding health care

I have been asked quite a bit about my thoughts regarding health care reform.  I recently sent a note to Senator Kohl of Wisconsin.  It is not completely developed and obviously to enact what I suggest would require details be worked out, rather, it is a summary of my thoughts.  I hope you are all at some level engaged in the current debate about health care because whatever comes out of Congress this fall will be with us a long time.  As most of you know, I am not partisan, but rather generally centrist and independent.  As I have said before, that makes me somewhat irrelevant in partisan politics, but among the majority of Americans.  Here is the letter:

I am recccommending this post because there is much information and many ideas in your letter that do not get coverage from the news media.

You describe yourself as a "centrist" and your letter shows that to be true.

I think the issue that you have is the same issue that most of us have. You try to solve problems with common sense ideas. The issue in washington is it is not about ideas its about bribes. While we pound our heads off the wall and come up with solutions or pieces of the solution, we forget that there are darker forces at work. Enough money will make any good idea go away.
