Wow.  I think this idea has been used in sci-fi movies and such for a while, but sometime in the future we'll probably be seeing these sorts of display surfaces on buses, taxis, billboards, buildings like this video, hell anything imaginable actually.

mhy729- It's not a "display surface", it's a holographic image. Looks able to be "free standing"- think halftime show on the 50 yd line or a life size Hendrix playin at a BBQ, or a mini Gaga on the kit table, or Disneyland in the back yard or King Kong pounding his chest eating pizza on the roof.

Thanks for correcting my misunderstanding.  I was actually wondering how much power such a "display surface" would be wolfing down as I was watching (perhaps not all that much), but I imagine holographics would be less power-intensive (at least cost less for the initial build?).  Despite my mistake, part of my original comment still holds true, as there have been plenty of sci-fi portrayals of huge holographic images being used for advertising, "virtual" statues, etc.
