Love Those Baggage Handlers

January 19, 2007 – Comments (1)

I took two round-trip cross-country flights in the past month and I had a bag temporarily lost on one leg of BOTH flights. Thankfully, the bags were eventually found in both cases, though in one I was saved in a big way because I had packed my suit in a carry-on. Otherwise, I would have either had to buy a new suit out-of-pocket or wear the t-shirt and jeans that I wore on the plane to a funeral.

It's also eye opening just how much they'll squeeze you if they don't find your bag. I may start traveling exclusively with my Target wardrobe.

Why does Southwest do so well year after year? Taking responsibility for when they screw up could be one reason...

Eye-opening. Ouch. It's a good point about how the liquid limits are causing people to check more -- I certainly am. --D
