August 16, 2009 – Comments (11) | RELATED TICKERS: LVS

Bought 100 shares (I'm a small, small investor) of LVS on Friday, 8/14/09, @ $13.18 per share (bought it and sold it a few times already this year - first buy in April @ $2.09). It ended the day (and the week) @ $13.32.

I think LVS is still a good (maybe a great?) buy at this price.

LVS was down 16% when it announced earnings on 7/31/09 (ended day at $9.35), but it's up 50% since then (Yes, 7/31/09 was only two weeks ago). To me that shows strength.

Another reason I like LVS right now is that on Friday, on a day when S&P 500 was down .6%, LVS was down only 3.4% after it was up 12.5% just a day before. To me this once again shows strength. It shows me that even after a 12.5% gain in one day (on top of 500% gains since April), there is not a lot of sellers of this stock.

To me, this stock is screaming: BUY ME...

p.s. I expect LVS to be a $17-20 stock in 3 months or less, but wouldn't be surprised if it happens in 3 weeks or so...

Has anyone noticed that LVS was up 80 cents today, or 6%, and is now one cent shy from being a 14 dollars stock...?

Well congrats on your successful investment....but has anyone noticed that sometimes it's best not to brag too much, less the gods of fate reach down and smite them for their arrogance?

LVS was a good buy for you, but you might want to sell now, while we're at the top.  Don't wait until 1100 on the S&P because of course as we discussed on my blog, we won't be getting there this year.
