The "anti-nuke" position is the one usually usually thought of as being "liberal".

The "pro-solar/wind and efficiency" position is the one usually thought of as "liberal" too.

Some have recntly said "we told you so..."

And I will remind you they did.

No. and yes. Back then anti-nuke was green. Today anti-nuke is green.

The nuclear power industry has failed to solve any of the problems associated with it despite the reassurances it offers otherwise.

I would suggest there is more of a media campign trying to sell nuclear energy as a green solution to global warming than any real "green" support.

And it cetainly is well behind solar/wind/etc for "green" support.
