One year ago today was the stock market bottom. To celebrate that anniversary, I dug through some of the archives on Google news to get some of what people were saying this time last year.
The best stuff I found I put into this article on Fool.com.
There were a few folks that I found that were pretty on point. Peter Lynch had a funny quote, saying that he felt like a "mosquito in a nudist colony" because there were so many bargains. Burton Malkiel said that it was a good time to be an index investor -- as always. And, wouldn't you know it, the Fool's own Ilan Moscovitz had some pretty darn good timing with "Is This the Market Bottom?"
And, of course, there were plenty of people that were on the flip side, suggesting that the market was still going to fall and that it wasn't a great time to invest. But I'll make you read my article to see those...
Oh, and be sure to weigh in on the poll.
