Markous Moulitsas giddy over stimulus boost. Whirlpool NOT!
Despite Markous Moulitsas apparent giddy-ness over perceived impacts of the Stimulus Spending in terms of Gross Domestic Product numbers (not job growth) as seen here:
America's companies like Whirlpool do not see much if at any actual economy growth in their businsses for 2010. In a recent press interview 84 minutes ago from this posting on the DOW JONES NEWSWIRES, the C.E.O. of Whirlpool Jeff Fetig said,
"The Fourth quarter and the first quarter was a scary world for everybody. Over time, that fear factor will recede. We're not assuming any real recovery until 2011."
So whose right? Markous Moulitsas cheering on his Democratic President by pointing to GDP numbers expected to be positive for the 3rd quarter (most because of a 1-shot Cash for Clunkers program which is now over), or the Jeff Fetig of Whirlpool?
Well? Whose doing the heavy lifting (pun intended) in this economy? A guy that manages large appliance business that is global wide or the author and founder of an online left leaning Blog?
