Medicare Bill Passes with High Drama

July 10, 2008 – Comments (1)

There was an extrodinary moving moment on the senate floor yesterday that deserves some added attention and acknowledgement.

Senator Kennedy (MA), suffering from a form of brain cancer, returned to the senate to cast a key vote in favor of a medicare bill.  The senate errupted in applause on his unexpected entrance to the chamber.

This was a contested bill, but passed due to his vote.

See the biotech board some a discussion of some of the bills provisions.

Whether you like or dislike Kennedy, you have to be impressed by the man's passion.
