Medicare Bill Passes with High Drama
There was an extrodinary moving moment on the senate floor yesterday that deserves some added attention and acknowledgement.
Senator Kennedy (MA), suffering from a form of brain cancer, returned to the senate to cast a key vote in favor of a medicare bill. The senate errupted in applause on his unexpected entrance to the chamber.
This was a contested bill, but passed due to his vote.
