Microsoft Blows it on the Flash Zune
Some decent Zune news today. Podcast support coming finally. TV download from vista -- that's very good. The 80-gig player gets a nice, big screen and is a ton smaller, and 20% lighter. The control pad seems interesting as well.
But if these pictures are what they look like, the flash player is 2-3 years behind apple, rather than the regular Zune's 1-year lag. Look at how frigging thick they appear to be. And while they're bigger than the new fatty nano, they sport a smaller screen.
Props to Mr. Softy, however, for giving Zune 1.0 buyers (like me) access to the newer, better features on the upcoming OS via a firmaware upgrade.
