Midstates Petroleum - boom or bust?

June 05, 2013 – Comments (2) | RELATED TICKERS: MPOYQ

More analysts are covering this company with a market cap of 433 million than some of its larger cap piers and/or competitors that have more success. So, there must be something to rhyme with this reasoning.

I guess I’ll dig deeper.

Hi Tagit

Had to take my wife for a "Cat Scan" yesterday, so all I had time for was a rec.

I took a quick look at this today, and see I will need to dig a lot deeper and maybe wait for more information to be released.

Going on past numbers, this would not be a good investment, but it looks like they have just done some things that could turn that around.

I have them on my watch list, but would not go in at more than $5.00 for now, and maybe even a little less.

The acquisition and capital raising from the bond/note sale was big, and could result in a major change.

Would like to read what you think after you do your "digging".

This sure is a crazy market right now, and fundamental analysis seems to play a minimal role in what is being bought and sold.

JMO and worth exactly what I am charging for it.

Have a great weekend. .

I hope your wife is ok,

I'm not sold on MPO yet, still in the youth stage and I need to see more positive results in the future. I just find it very odd there are so many analysts watching this one with price targets that don't seem reachable. But hey!! There the pros. I guess they see something I don't.

Yep, the market is crazy right now, everytime I start to put a toe back in the water I freeze up and can't do it.  Ha Ha.
