Migrant laborers

October 06, 2011 – Comments (2)

I can't escape the feeling that the way we U.S. Americans treat illegal immigrant laborers (i.e. shamefully) is the same way we will be treated when we are illegal immigrants seeking work in China in a few years. But don't expect to be given a plane ticket back to America. No, it will be worse for us, because God expects better from us. What other country boasted about its moral righteousness the way we did? And what did we turn around and do? We sent away the needy, even the ones who wanted to work for a living. But China will (unwittingly) see to it that we are punished for our sins. We will be sent to prison or forced to work as slaves if caught, but we will have nowhere else to go, because they are the only large country laying by in store for the seven lean years. If you think these are the lean years, bless your soul. You will learn.

Better start learning some Chinese, then. And learn how to swim. Crossing the Pacific is a real challenge...

I plan on taking a canoe. Also, I was reading so-and-so's case against China, and it included a demographic chart showing that Japan's about to have a catastrophic decline in workforce starting in the next year or two, and lasting for heaven knows how long. I now think Japan may be a better bet for job-hunters. And it's closer. ;)
