Let's clear away some of the bullwhacky about Alstynomics.  Simply parroting the thoughtful opinions of esteemed, or noted, economists does not constitute original thinking.

Wow....that is pretty cold.....except for the fact that Alstry has been six months or more ahead of many of those "esteemed or noted" economists positions for a long long time.  Further, how do you know what Alstry's creator's reputation is within the "investing" community in "real life???"

Repeating them over and over and over does not qualify one for soothsayer of the decade.

Actually, Alstry didn't repeat anyone in drawing his conclusions.  If you go back and look at Alstry's blog for the past year, he simply took articles from the mainstream media and extracted his own conclusions.  The fact that his conclusions mirrored others who happened to be right only further butresses Alstrynomics methodology for collecting data and reaching the RIGHT conclusions.

You have added absolutely nothing to the others' observations.

I have actually added a lot.  I provided almost 400 real time stock market picks that has kicked the backside of just about everyone in CAPs.....pretty soon I will have attained a score higher than the combined score you and one of the top players in CAPS in less than a year in what you two have had over two years to accomplish.  In other words, with less than 1/4 the pick and 1/4 the combined time, I am about to pull ahead of you....if you can't do the math that gives me a 1/16th handicap.  Not bad if I say so myself.

Having made clear that you have added nothing to "the sky is falling" screed, and as you have profited from the obvious "short everything and buy the 2x and 3x inverses", without ever picking a decent stock long, my compliments.

Nobody ever said the sky is falling...I simply said the economy is imploding and you might want to consider shorting everything in sight except cash and potentially metals.  As far as my inverse picks, as we look back at them they have been prettty damm successful.....don't you think????  Not only that, they were not limited to any specific sector........

But, having said that, I'd like to make a life-style suggestion.  The Yahoo Finance board blew you off.  Having read those blogs and comment responses, I can see why.

First, the Yahoo board never blew me off.  Actually far from it.  I quit and migrated to CAPs.  I started blogging about SPF at over 30 and now it is less than a buck.  If you go back an look at my blogs, there is not a single reputable analyst in the world that came close to my fundemental SPF analysis....period.  You are addressing an area where there is little doubt that Alstry is one of the best in the nation.......

I strongly suggest that you go back and read my SPF blogs from the beginning in Nov 06.  Today, the CEO and CFO are defendants in a lawsuit for improper behavior, both have resigned, and Alstry is still moving forward strong.

As far as a lifestyle suggestion, mine is fine right now so long as my family remains healthy....that is my greatest blessing in the world.

Yet you continue the same behavior on CAPS.

I appreciate the fact that you may not like my behavior.  I can relate.  Sometimes I wish I could be nicer to people like you....it is just a weakness in my personality...what can I say.  At the end of the day, I would much rather be the most competent than a fool and you are just going to have to love Alstry in spite of his faults.

Your captured and regurgitated observations have value to those who do not read the commentary from more analytical observers on a daily basis.

You are repeating yourself here...my guess is that you may be losing it a bit.....asking yourself how can one guy be soooooo good yet be willing to share his knowledge at no charge exclusively on CAPS.

But if you'd not pose as if these were your deep original thoughts, with the attendant third person, arrogant, condescending attitude, you might begin to approach the attendance and popularity of GV.

There you go being a popularity pimp.  Please, comparing me to GV is a bit insulting don't you think?  You are clearly not thinking on level ground.  My suggestion is take a step back and breathe deeply.  It should help relax you.

The fact that you bash me after this blog and your comments is simply are reflection of your character.....

The fact that your score is now negative only makes my goal of having a score higher than yours and TRDH's combined is simply easier.

My friend, in life, when you play fair, you can't run from the facts.  The facts are the facts and we can't change them.  You can make whatever representations or allegations you wish.  All of my blogs, both here and on Yahoo are open for anyone one to read.  It is clear Alstry is getting into your head.  I have little doubt you lament everyday why you didn't follow his advice.  I can relate to your frustration, albeit for different reasons.

I really wish you well.......but don't you think you should appologize due to my preventing you from committing a felony and making the following comment....

In real life, where I challenged you to put up $40,000, you reacted with the squeal of a little girl.

All mouth.  All hat and no cattle.  If you are superior to TD...put your money where your flapping mouth is.  But I am sorry if you don't have $40K free.  Life's a bitch in the real world.

Squeal of a little girl??????  Could you imagine what the Fools would do to me if I made a similar comment????  Right now, as I see it......the only person squealing is you and you are my bi*ch until you appologize...which I will graciously accept.

Remember, at the end of the day, CAPS is about investors helping investors.  My assumption in that statement is beat the market, Wall Street, and make money.  Based on that, which player in CAPs has done the best job over the past year??????

Let's make one point clear.  I am not bashing donner.....I am actually trying to help him........and you guys for that matter.  In each of these blogs there is a lesson to take away.

I know Alstry has some personality quirks and sometimes comes off as abrasive.....but I also know how talented Alstry is in this game.......believe me, if you compare him to the mainstream analysts, it is not even funny.

Please be careful....just because somebody is nice, or wears some goofy hat, does not mean they are competent investors or analysts.  Sometimes the nicest people in the world are some of the most incompetent despite their positive intentions.

But the inverse applies to jerks or conceited people as well.  Just because someone cocks off, it equally doesn't mean they know what they are doing as well.  Sometimes people use aggression to mask their incompetence.

You must balance the two!!!!!!

In the end, look at the objective quality of their work.....and look at it over a period of time.   You know the saying, you can fool some of the people..........

and you can do it for a while....but in the end the truth always rises to the surface.

Don't be upset with donner or any of the other Alstry bashers.....they are simply trying to compensate against their insecurities and playing opposed someone with simply much greater talent. 

You should see what its like playing with my buddies who were former pro athletes....if you want to see Alstry schooled, just watch Alstry on the golf course or courts.....even though I try to use head games to compensate, I am so outclassed it ain't funny..... I am much better in the bar drinking bloody's talking business and investment.

It must be difficult for donner to be a claimer in a stakes race.....but I am sure he is a nice person.....but niceness or popularity doesn't win races.......competence does......it just seems that the stress of the game is getting to him.....

This is another important lesson in trading, actually one fo the most important, NEVER LET EMOTION GET IN THE WAY OF OBJECTIVE ANALYSIS!!!!!

Alstry has been very much on target since I started playing Caps. I was in the inflation camp too long while he was saying we would see deflation. He also has been correct on the unemployment situation, and the depth of the credit crisis. The thing that I respect about his blogging is that he has not changed from the beginning. You may love him or hate him, but he has been right more than most.

Alstry is not "tough"....just talented at something he devotes his attention to....and fortunate to enjoy what he does.

You want tough......my wife is tough....she is a grade school teacher in one of the toughest neighborhoods in the city we live.....when I was a judge's clerk many years ago I used to review bench warrants for crack house raids directly accross the street from her school.  She has been getting up for work every morning and teaching those kids for the past twenty years.  Many of them come from disfuctional backgrounds yet she loves what she does day after day after day and I NEVER hear her complain.......maybe that is why she still sticks with me........there is not much change from dealing with her kids at school and her husband at home....fortunately she has our kids when she wants to deal on a higher intellectual level.

You want tough....Alstry's wife is tough!!!!!!!!
