More on the Governitzer

For those of you who still think that Gov. Spitzer was a fair and good AG and Gov brought down by an unfortunate sex scandal in an otherwise stellar career of serving the public good and bringing integrity to private industry, read

This Wall Street Journal Online article

and this Business Week article.

See how Spitzer distrusts the ability of adult-run companies to handle their own insurance and reinsurance needs? And how he abused the power of his office and slandered companies and individuals not charged with a crime in order to extort the hiring of his pal as a CEO of one of them? Oops, that story is here. I gave away the ending. It also looks like he has (or had) a personal vendetta against the Greenberg family, who has still never been proved (or even formally alleged) to have done anything wrong or illegal.

Spitzer said he was going to bring a new moral tone to Albany. He did: sin black.

He's a politician...

At least this one paid [well, with your laundered tax money] and helped those 'generous ladies' make a living instead of abusing his position to have sexual conduct with underage guys like Mark Foley. That was more disturbing...

So let's see, working with political prostitutes is allowed, but everything else is prohibited? :)

I'm not defending anyone by speaking out against Spitzer, I'm just saying that he's bad news.

By the way, Lee, Foley wasn't underage.

You are awesome, devoish! So awesome!

I wish I were so isolated from the crap mainstream news that I didn't know what Spitzer is accused of. My fool cap is tipped to you, sir or madam.

By the way, he's accused of soliciting prostitution, misappropriation of government funds, illegal movement of money - he confessed to having sex with prostitutes and some (including I) think he used government expense accounts to pay for it.
