Morons in Charge...

Sigh, they are everywhere...

In the last 10 years there were many years that when I looked at my tax bill and compared it to my mortgage payment, well, taxes were sooooo high.

There was a news story a while back where a responsible former Prime Minister pointed out the utter stength of Canada with his leadership (completely true) and that the problem was irresponsible leadership given crap away that wasn't paid for at the same time as reducing taxes (also true.)

And here is the latest for Canada, the entire last 10 years of debt reduction could be wiped out in just a few short years.

It would be disrepectful to sewage plants to rename them after the morons in charge today.

I noticed you are the Leader of CAPS. Not everyone is a moron, unless they do not have the ability to take responsibility.

It's good to see our favorite country to the north is trying out these "perfect" policies as well. Spend, spend, spend!

Intersting link, thanks for the CA perspective Dwot, it's always helpful and appreciated.

Perhaps in order to pay down Canada's deficits you would like to sell us (USA) your natural gas and water resources. We have has many iou's to trade with as we have paper to print them on. You could balance years of deficit spending with them.

I'm not sure these clowns understand that taxes isn't the amount of money the govt collects, but the amount of money the government spends.

Imagine those clowns in their think tank:"I have an idea. Let's get re-elected by cutting GST, and when the poo hits the fan, we'll just get back into deficit." Bunch of clownish liars. The libs have been cutting provincial transfers to "balance" the federal budget for 10 years, and the first thing the cons do is cut the GST and raise spendings to make sure we're back in deficit.

I'm gonna move back to Quebec and become a separatist. At least that way I'll have half my problem solved.

And btw, my taxes were 2X my mortgage. And I'm paying extra mortgage, so make it 3X.

ByrneShill, I lived in the most expensive city in Canada and like I've said before, there were years where up 85% of income went to mortgage and taxes.  Housing was just too expensive to ever have a mortgage 1/3rd of taxes.

I honestly thought when I was quickly scanning DWOT's blog titles that this was "Mason's in charge" looking for a good conspiracy theory on how Masons or the international Cabal run everything, I was a bit disappointed to see Morons are in charge in CAN as well. Digging further, I did some research and did find a Mason MC based in Ottawa. A coincidence? I think not.
