Hello fellow Fools, I would like to introduce my new avatar.
Why did I pick this as my avatar? Lets go through the reasons-
1. Nothing beats- I found it ironic since my ranking on Caps is 3252, so I was quite pleased that the sentence was blurred.
2. A Cubs fan- Well I'm a Cubs fan, this would also explain my annoying habit of being optimistic in the most dire of situations ( I actually find it helpful in investing, I don't buy or sell based on the political climate of the moment )
3. Bud Man- This is my beer of choice. Since I invest in companys of products that I use this was a logical choice for making it one of my core holdings. Unfortunetly while I was getting the capital together rumours of a takeover sent the stock skyrocketing. I missed out but was able to start buying while Bud was still on the pink sheets (due to low volume, I believe I was majority shareholder at one point :) Buds future still looks bright.
4. Harry Cary- I grew up listening to him. He had the ability to make the game fun even when we were watching some really bad Cubs teams. Also he lived life to the fullest, Life is short so why spend it climbing a wall of worry.
Ok at this point your probably saying dude yeah your score is good, but your accuracy sucks.
True, let this be a lesson for all the new Caps players. When I first joined Caps I would completely freak out when I saw scores in the red. Later I learned of the importance letting the losers ride.
And if I may say something else to the new players, TMF is an awesome website, and CAPS is an awesome source of ideas for research. But always do your own research, in real life I spend weeks, months and in some cases years (BRK-B) researching my own investments. So please don't invest based on what I have to say about what I may have spent five minutes looking at and put it on Caps so I can see what happens. (I'll level with you I'm pretty much an idiot :)
