My Final Motley Fool Article
Well Fools, what a long strange trip it's been! :)
After 5 years of writing daily content on precious metals for The Motley Fool, the time has come for me to take another direction in my life. I wish to be 100% clear that the timing of my departure has nothing whatsoever to do with this prolonged bout of weakness for the mining equities, and that my stridently bullish long-term outlook on both the metals and the higher-quality mining stocks remains wholly undeterred.
Instead, the timing is linked to another opportunity that presented itself. Although my professional life will be taking me in a completely different direction, I will continue to track these precious metal markets just as closely as I always have. And I intend to remain an active member of this great community through periodic posts here on my blog. But as far as published articles on fool.com, my article out today will be my last.
Accordingly, I tried to draft an article that could stand as an appropriate swan song. Here is Everything You Need to Know About Gold and Silver.
I have not ruled out the possibility of launching a newsletter service to share the research I continue to perform both on the stocks that I own and the ones that I screen for potential investment. More than 100 of you already e-mailed me last year when I discussed the possibility of starting just such a service, so if your e-mail address hasn't changed since then, please know that I already have you on a distribution list if I do decide to move forward with a newsletter. For those who have not sent their e-mail address along, and would like the option of subscribing to such a service, please send me an e-mail at email@example.com with "please add me" in the subject line and your CAPS username in the body.
I want to thank all of you for making my 5-year stint as a writer for The Motley Fool such a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding experience. While my activity on Motley Fool CAPS is likely to taper off as well, this is not a farewell from my beloved blogging community. I will still be here, even if under a modified moniker of XMFSinchiruna. I wish all of you a very happy Easter weekend, and look forward to keeping in touch!
