Greek leader considers action against US banks

Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou is not ruling out taking legal action against U.S. investment banks for their role in creating the spiraling Greek debt crisis.

A Little Tzatzki Sauce.....some Ouzo......oooooopah

Remember the Greek people and businesses have  very little debt....MUCH LESS THAN AMERICA AND AMERICANS.....if the Greeks leverd up their private economy in a simiilar fashion to America....the government would be maintaining a masssive surplus right now......

Huge underwater oil plumes found in Gulf...

Scientists are finding enormous oil plumes in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico, including one as large as 10 miles long, 3 miles wide and 300 feet thick in spots. The discovery is fresh evidence that the leak from the broken undersea well could be substantially worse than estimates that the government and BP have given.

It's misleading to say that rioting is "spreading all around the world" when it is localized in two countries. Of course, you're welcome to theorize that rioting will spread, but "spreading" is hardly an accurate description of the current reality.

Regardless of what happens, we are a resillient people and a resillient nation.  We will overcome whatever comes our way.  The question now is what is coming our way?  It appears we shall soon find out.

You said this in Feb 2008.

Alstry I agree with alot of what you say, and I will be voting for any candidate who shows even a semblance of fiscal responsibility.

But to call Fools sheep for continuing to invest seems irresponsible. Believe me If I were in my fifties I would not be touching this market. But time has told us that the only way to gain personal wealth is through the stock market.

That is all, you can go ahead and mock me now.

Since you have designated us all as "Sheep", I am very thankful that I have an omnipotent Shepherd.

Have a nice Sunday Alstry. Take the kids out to play and relax a little.

It is unlikely that the world will end today, and if it does, you will appreciate that you spent some more time with them.

Comrade Alstrymous --

As an English mate once told me . . . turn Scottish, put on your wellingtons, then get in behind the sheep.

Now, as to your point, "Remember the Greek people /snip/ have very little debt." When you actually work one job, but get paid by your debt-ridden Government for two-to-three positions, of course you're not gonna have too much PERSONAL debt. Perhaps your blood-sucking public-employee unions have figured this out too for their members.

All I can say is, why, oh why, did I ever give up my city council seat. Guilt or personal dignity perhaps? Or to live in reality??? But I digress.

Greeks, Scotsmen, wellingtons, unions, getting in behind . . . do I detect a pattern here :^o

BTW, nice Blackhawk's win at SJ -- Habs/Chi cup is perhaps more certain than gold continuing to rise?

It's not often that you get female service in a "greek" restaurant.
