RELATED TICKERS: BAB
Hello everyone, I have indeed changed my username. I started working for The Motley Fool today under the Analyst Development Program. In a last-minute decision, I decided to drop "bullish" from the new TMF name.
Way too go, Babo.
Very cool, congrats...
BooyahBabo has a nice ring as well but TMF probably would frown upon that one... : )
Congratulations! Well done and thanks for always making your profile description good for a laugh as Top Fool.
Congratulations from me as well.
Tell us why you decided to drop the "bullish" part of your name though.
Welcome aboard, Paul!
I call conspiracy! Now the top 2 players are TMF'ers.
This should be investigated!
jk - Congrats!
Congrats! Yes, I'm with rd80.... what does this job entail?
I've read some of your pitches and think my eyes did start to "glaze over" as you described in a recent comment you made on my blog. You are way out of my league. I look forward to reading articles written by TMFBabo!
I'm sorry it took me so long to reply to those offering comments this weekend...I really appreciated yours. I was just too tired to give everyone a thoughtful answer.
Congrats! That is pretty awesome. Out of curiousity are you relocating to where they(Motley Fools) are? Hwighting! haha
Congrats & best of luck to you! RH
Quotes from Futurarama, Simpsons and (I believe) Family Guy: Just add in something from Drawn Together and I may have a man-crush!
If your CAPS rating drops, do they dock your pay?
Thanks everyone - I appreciate the comments and kind words.
@kdakota630: I thought adding "TMF" to the beginning made the name too long. I remain neutral on short-term market direction and bullish long-term.
@rd80: I believe I'll be writing articles eventually. I'm not quite there yet. I've now worked at Fool HQ for one day, so I haven't the slightest idea on the time frame.
@Bays: I don't think I can share the details, but the analyst development program is meant to make me a more well-rounded and knowledgeable investor. I'm pretty excited so far based on what I've heard I'll be doing.
@truthisntstupid: Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you agreed with my thoughts, since they were meant to back up your argument.
@zCreator: Yup, I will eventually.
Good job man =D
Well deserved and I hope you get much enjoyment from your new position at TMF ... I've always enjoyed reading your insights and think that TMF has made a very wise choice to bring you aboard.
Congratulations to you TMFBabo. I hope that you really enjoy your new career with TMF.
Congratulations and keep up the great work.
How did you stumble upon this opportunity?
Congratulations! Could you explain what that title means, and what it does mean to you. Maybe you could explain what it takes to become part of the Analyst Development Program - beside having a 100 score. I want to apologize for being so ignorant.
@MyunderratedLife and @panchitio: Sure. I applied through the Fool's website.
The posting was for people who had a passion for investing, a knack for going through financial statements and the numbers, an understanding of Foolishness, and so on. I encourage everyone to check the postings from time to time.
I had to go through the process like everyone else - the CAPS standing really only played a part in getting to the interview. Once I was offered an interview, I spent tens of hours in preparation. I studied accounting for 20+ hours, studied various industries, made sure I could pitch long and short ideas, and much more.
Congratulations Babo and well deserved!
Anyone with TMF in their CAPS name is a marked man for the TIGER to chase.
Congrats, I am coming to get you! All I need is a stock market crash and I will be Top 10 quickly. I would rather not see a stock market crash; however, BEN is begging for one currently. Blame him when it happens.
Fool = Babo (note the Capital letter) Congrats you earned it!
fool = baboya! (which you are definitely not)
I'd be interested in reading a blog about your first days on the job, your decision making process in accepting the job, etc.
Best of Luck!
You need to replace your avatar with a curly "W" now. ;)
Very cool, babo! Just keep the Simpsons references coming and you'll do alright :)
David in Qatar
Nice work, congrats on working at the fool!!
That is awesome, congrats , All glory to TMFBabo.
Congratulations... I've been reading your articles for a long time and look forward to more... Welcome to the Motley Fool... by the way (keep up the simpsons :))
Congratulations, Babo. Best of luck with your new career.
For even getting an interview you made it farther than most of us did, I think.
Now look at Delcath--DCTH!!! :)
Congrats, keep up the good picks and great pitches, love your quotes.
Hey TMFBabo, congrats and welcome to the TMF ranks! Your CAPS reputation precedes you. Too bad I missed you at HQ, but I was only there during the summer. Now I'm back in sunny Sun Diego, racking up the board posts over at MDP. You should drop by and say hi!
Best of luck,
Go get em Babo! Congrats and keep up the good work, I have made some real money on some of your recs, thanks for the ideas
Welcome aboard! And I assume you'll be writing articles soon -- and I look forward to reading them, Fool. - Tom
Congrats! I'm curious as to what your educational/career background is. Do you mind sharing? No hard feelings if you would rather not share. Just thought I would ask :)
I don't get it. Why get a job if you've potentially multiplied your money by 200?
